1. Summary
Tivio Player does not require a Tivio account and does not operate an intermediary service for your streams. The app contains no advertising or analytics SDKs. Your Mac connects directly to the IPTV provider that you choose to configure.
2. Information stored by the app
To provide its features, Tivio stores the following information locally on your Mac:
- Your provider server address and username.
- Your provider password, stored separately in the macOS Keychain.
- Channel, programme-guide, movie, series, and artwork metadata returned by your provider.
- App preferences, favourites, recently watched items, and playback progress.
This information is used only to connect the app, display your library, and remember your choices.
3. Network connections and third parties
When you add a provider or play media, Tivio sends requests directly to that provider. The provider may receive information normally associated with a network request, including your IP address, account credentials, requested items, and device or player information. That processing is controlled by the provider and is subject to its own privacy policy and terms.
Tivio does not sell personal information and does not send provider credentials, viewing history, or library data to Tivio-operated servers.
4. Retention and deletion
Local information remains on your Mac until you remove an account, clear the relevant app data, or uninstall Tivio. Removing a provider account deletes its Keychain password and provider-scoped library and viewing data from the app.
5. Website privacy
The Tivio website does not intentionally use advertising cookies or behavioural analytics. Its hosting infrastructure may process standard request information, such as IP addresses, browser details, and timestamps, to deliver and secure the site.
6. Children
Tivio does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Tivio does not select or provide media; the person configuring a provider is responsible for the content available through that service and any appropriate parental controls.
7. Changes and contact
This policy may be updated when Tivio's features or distribution change. Material updates will be published on this page. Privacy questions can be submitted through the Tivio support page.
